Modern Edge over the High Line

Located in the heart of the West Chelsea Historic District, the 10-story multi-residential Emerson rises elegantly along the High Line. Seven floor-through private residences are crowned by a duplex penthouse with 12’ ceiling heights and a roof deck. Designed with a modern grid of windows and columns, the 22,000 SF building is clad in pure Alabama limestone. A curtain wall with bronze detailing on the eastern side of the building allows for unobstructed natural light to fill the luxury residences within.

Cantilevered upper floors create a unique silhouette and provide panoramic views of the Hudson.   Generous loggias in the cantilevered portion of the building provide cover for full-width terraces nestled just below.  Articulating the exterior lines and angles of the limestone and glass structure is lighting from the acclaimed French firm L’Observatoire International.

The double-height commercial space on the ground floor will provide retail space that joins an urban oasis of distinct art galleries, celebrated restaurants, and the beloved Hudson River Park.

The Emerson has been awarded the rare NYC Green Property Certification.
