Lambertville, NJ | Newark, NJ
Leasing has officially kicked off for BeLa, a new collection of 99 luxury rental residences and thoughtfully-designed amenities in Jersey City’s historic and culturally-rich Bergen-Lafayette.
The new eight-story building was designed by Newark, NJ-based Minno & Wasko Architects and Planners. BeLa opens with 3D walkthroughs that allows prospective tenants to virtually tour its spacious one and two-bedroom residences and amenity suite while safely practicing social distancing.
The building’s owner Golden Glades Capital Management LLC tapped Halstead Property NJ Development Marketing, LLC as the exclusive marketing and leasing agent. Halstead is offering an attractive launch promotion of up to three free months in incentives for tenants who sign leases in May, with introductory monthly rents starting at $1,996 for one bedrooms, and $2,560 for two bedrooms. Occupancy is scheduled for June.
Located at 74 Maple Street, BeLa is the latest example of Bergen-Lafayette’s rise as a desirable residential destination bordering Liberty State Park. Considered by many as a hidden gem for its open green space and small-town neighborhood charm that offer a welcome alternative to the towering high-rises and congestion of Downtown Jersey City, Bergen-Lafayette is quickly gaining favor with new residents who also appreciate its convenient public transportation options and eclectic offering of restaurants, shops and nightlife.
“This neighborhood has so much urban character while also offering a greener side of Jersey City,” said Carole Bloom, executive vice president of leasing for Halstead Development Marketing. “Liberty State Park is virtually BeLa’s backyard, offering more than 1,200 acres of public open space and a waterfront walkway, while Berry Lane Park provides an additional 17 acres of active and passive recreational space. We’re excited to now introduce BeLa to its residential offering, which perfectly blends modern and stylish living spaces with the charm, convenience and commuter connectivity the neighborhood is known for.”
SETTING
With a WalkScore of 88, BeLa’s Bergen-Lafayette location puts residents right in the middle of a thriving community. The newly constructed building is situated just blocks from Communipaw Avenue, the area’s business corridor that offers hip and authentic bars, eateries, shops and everyday conveniences, including The Grind Shop specialty coffee shop, Pacific Pizza, Harry’s Daughter Gastro Pub, and the 902 Brewing Company which is producing its flagship beers like Heaven, Hell or Hoboken IPA, Pale Ale True Hoboken (dubbed P.A.T.H.) and more.
Downtown Jersey City, Hoboken, and Manhattan are easily reached via the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail Liberty Park Station which is just steps from BeLa. Four light rail stops away is the Exchange Place PATH Station, which is one stop from the World Trade Center transit hub. A quick ten-minute ride connects commuters to New York Waterway’s Paulus Hook Ferry Terminal with service to Brookfield Place, Pier 11/Wall Street and 39th Street/Hudson Yards. Nearby Route 78 provides a pathway to the Holland Tunnel, as well as points west.
For outdoor recreation, the adjacent Liberty State Park offers a green oasis in the middle of the metropolis, with more 1,200 acres of open space, a two-mile waterfront promenade, an outdoor performance area, and spectacular restaurants with sweeping views of the Hudson River, Manhattan skyline and Statue of Liberty. The park also offers a full-service marina, ferry service to Manhattan, charter boat excursions and maritime sightseeing tours. Also anchoring the neighborhood is the Liberty Science Center with its ever-evolving interactive museum experience and the largest and most technologically-advanced planetarium in the Western Hemisphere. Work is underway to extend Jersey Avenue which will better connect downtown Jersey City with Liberty State Park and Bergen-Layfette.
AMENITIES
Right at home, BeLa residents will be the first to enjoy exquisitely-designed residences featuring keyless entry systems, stylish bathrooms with walk-in showers or soaking tubs, in-home washers and dryers, and chef-inspired kitchens with islands, custom cabinetry and stainless-steel Whirlpool appliances.
