New York, NY
Vermont (July 2023) – E4H Environments for Health Architecture, the largest architecture firm solely dedicated to healthcare and health science + technology design, is pleased to announce that Principal Jennifer R. Arbuckle, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, was elected as a regional director at the National Council of Architectural Registration Board’s (NCARB) 2023 Annual Business Meeting. Arbuckle was nominated to serve on the NCARB Board of Directors by Region 1 (New England Conference), which represents the licensing boards of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Rhode Island.
Arbuckle was appointed to the Vermont Board of Architects in 2008 and served on the board until 2018, including time as the board’s chair from 2014-2018. She was elected by her peers to serve as the vice chair of Region 1 in 2017, going on to serve as the region’s chair from 2020-2023. In addition, Arbuckle dedicated her time and expertise to several NCARB committees, including the Education, Policy Advisory, and Regional Leadership committees. In 2019, she helped found and chaired NCARB’s Diversity Collaborative, a grassroots effort to explore ways that the Council could better support diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout all levels of the organization; the Collaborative transitioned to become a permanent committee in 2022. Arbuckle is an active member of the greater Burlington, VT, area; is a member of her local Healthcare Advisory Board and the Center for Health Design; and has a long-standing commitment to her local Ronald McDonald House.
“Jennifer has been a valued member of the E4H team since 1996,” says President Jim Johnson, AIA, LSSGB. “With nearly 30 years of architectural experience in all types of health facilities, Jennifer has guided many projects from initial master planning and programming through design and construction. E4H is proud of her well-deserved appointment and eager to see what she accomplishes.”
Arbuckle earned her license to practice architecture in 1995. She holds the NCARB Certificate for national reciprocity and is LEED AP certified. Arbuckle is a graduate of Syracuse University and is currently licensed in Vermont, New York, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.
