The Guangzhou International Campus of South China University of Technology is located in Nancun Town, Panyu District, Guangzhou, with a total planned land area of 110,500 square meters, a total planned floor area ratio of 1.4 million square meters, and a prefabricated building rate of over 30%. The project is planned to be constructed in two phases, the first phase of which is 500,000 square meters.
Green environmental protection is one of the "unseen concepts" in the planning and design of this project. The architects plan and design this green building project by in-depth research on climate adaptability in the Pearl River Delta region. From the ventilation of the project to the ventilation of the patio, the shading treatment of different facades, and the combination of building blocks are all designed. Architects improve the comfort of the building environment on the premise of energy saving, and create innovative low-energy, high-efficiency green buildings in the Pearl River Delta region. The design of all single buildings also embodies the design concept of green buildings. Corridors, self-shading, and facade shading components are set up to create a good ventilation environment and thermal comfort and reduce consumables and energy consumption.
LOPO China is honored to participate in this large-scale campus construction project and become the main supplier of architectural terracotta for the project. Almost all LOPO's terracotta cladding products were used in this project including thin brick, facing brick, terracotta panels and baguettes. We work with architects to design and produce special textures and shades to create this beautiful "red-brick university".
