Candela Lofts, the first Passive House multi-family building in New Jersey, has set a new standard for luxury and sustainable living on New Jersey’s Hudson River Gold Coast.  The Passive House certification has enabled the property to achieve a quantifiable and rigorous level of energy efficiency and deliver maximum health and indoor comfort.  The contemporary seven-story building has also been designed to achieve LEED Platinum certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).

Candela Lofts features 9 high-end condominiums located at 1024 Adams Street in Hoboken.  Designed by renowned architectural firm Nastasi Architects on the site of a former candelabra factory, Candela Lofts establishes a new threshold for comprehensive sustainability in residential design, advanced energy modeling, integrated building systems and progressive building envelopes.   The building offers the unprecedented combination of uncompromised luxury coupled with the most advanced building performance guidelines in the world, providing the homeowner the best of both worlds; science and design.

Enclosed by a rich and variegated stone façade, large deep recessed openings expose the warm sunlit environment of the building’s interior. Utilizing continuous insulation, high performance triple glazed windows imported from Austria and an air-tight building envelope provides the basis for a highly sustainable and extremely comfortable living environment.

Among available residences at Candela Lofts is a one-of-a-kind new duplex with an unrivaled offering of living and entertaining space, including a sprawling 870 square-foot outdoor terrace complete with an outdoor Lynx kitchen system, ipe decking and fire pit.  The two-story, four-bedroom plus office, 3 ½-bath residence is one of only two homes remaining at the seven-story Candela Lofts building, which has distinguished itself in the Hudson River Gold Coast market as the first Passive House-certified multi-family building in New Jersey.

Spreading across the second and third floors of Candela Lofts, the 3,460 square-foot home is outfitted with designer interior features including a dramatic double height ceiling, hardwood white oak wide plank flooring throughout.  The home’s expansive living and entertainment area features a sleek and modern kitchen with Miele appliances which opens to dining area and oversized living room with access to the outdoor space.  A first floor master bedroom is the perfect escape with huge walk-in closets and lavish master bath with double vanity and separate soaking tub and shower.   The second floor features an upper mezzanine sitting area overlooking the main living space, three bedrooms and an additional office/bonus room.  This extraordinary home is priced at $3,175,000.

The duplex residence caps a very successful program at Candela Lofts which is on the verge of a complete sell-out.  The second home available for sale at the building is a three-bedroom/three-bathroom, 1,725 square-foot condominium with a 180 square-foot wrap around balcony, priced at $1,595,000.
