Dallas, TX - VLK Architects proudly announces Jennifer Workman has joined the firm as Architecture Director for the Dallas office. Workman now manages the operations of the architecture unit and is responsible for implementing strategies and procedures to ensure the firm continues to produce designs with the highest quality. With more than 17 years of experience, she has experience primarily working with museums, civic, corporate retail, corporate offices, and multi-family projects. One of her most notable projects is the Perot Museum in Dallas, where she led the design and construction of new exhibits within the existing space.

“VLK has a culture deeply rooted in collaboration, and I’m looking forward to working with a great team of people who are truly passionate about their clients, service, and solutions,” said Jennifer Workman.

With a Bachelor of Architecture and a business minor from the University of Texas at Austin, how we approach the built environment is the driving force of Workman’s passion. Her engaged leadership, project experience, communication skills, and management capabilities are a direct result of her active involvement in the AEC industry and community. Workman previously served as a board member with AIA Dallas, Texas Society of Architects, and AIA National,  while also chairing numerous board committees within each organization. She continuously engages in research to help elevate and evolve the practice of architecture and has received numerous awards for her thought leadership and forward-thinking project solutions. In addition to being the AIA YAF Connection Editor from 2009-2011, Workman also contributed columns to the Texas Architect magazine.  Recognized for her dedication to the industry, she received the TxA 2016 Award for Young Professional Achievement and the 2004 AIA Dallas Associate of the Year Award.

“We are excited to have Jennifer join VLK in the role of Architecture Director,” VLK’s Chief Operations Officer, Justin Hiles, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C, said. “Throughout her career, she has demonstrated the initiative to better herself and the people around her. Her experience in a wide range of project types will strengthen our team’s ability to provide responsive design solutions to make our clients successful.
