After presentation in Leipzig, Buenos Aires, and Porto, the 2012 'Best Dutch Book Designs' will be exhibited at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. Wiel Arets: Autobiographical References, designed by renowned Dutch designer graphic designer Irma Boom and edited by American academic Robert McCarter, was awarded this annual prize alongside 32 other publications representing the most distinguished books made in the Netherlands during 2012. These books have been chosen for their meticulous attention to detail and their timeless qualities, capturing the spirit of the period within which they were produced. This literary award is one of the most time-honored of its kind in Europe, and its exhibition will be accompanied by a catalogue designed by Studio Joost Grootens, compiling information on all awarded books.
