The New York Times published the Jellyfish House in the digital edition of the paper on January 16, 2014–as well as on page D3 of the New York print edition, with the headline: 'A Pool That’s Over the Top'. The house's pool, which is cantilevered 9 m from the roof, features a glass-bottom floor and a panoramic window at its interior facing edge, both of which enable sunlight to spill throughout the house's interior.
