This past weekend the American Association for the Advancement of Science held their annual meeting in Chicago–the third largest city in the United States of America–to explore and discuss 'recent developments in science and technology'. Wiel Arets joined a panel discussion on February 15 entailed, 'The Future of Cities: Dense or Dispersed’, which revolved around the topic of density within the world's cities, in relation to the ever increasing urbanization of the world's estimated 7.145 billion population. The article and podcast highlight speakers from that panel, and other noteworthy discussions that took place throughout the weekend.
