Gunn Landscape Architecture is behind the design of the landscaped gardens and mews for the 60 unique residences at The Printing House West Village.
To transform the dark and defunct passageway between residences, Gunn has proposed clean-lined concrete paving throughout, strategically positioned green walls, and incorporated climbing vines and shade gardens that meander throughout the block-long landscape. The path will be lined with Japanese pagoda trees, which blossom midsummer to reveal soft white flowers, mounded shade plantings of holly, different fern varieties, hakone grass, anemone, and other native species. The plantings paint new colors into the setting each season, to be an enjoyable stroll for residents and the West Village community year-round. A contemplative setting with optimum garden views along the entire stretch of the mews, the scenery includes sculpted concrete benches and a stepping path through a shaded meadow.
