This structure acts as a live/work space located in downtown Royal Oak.  The addition is sits detached above an existing structure the client uses to house their sheet music business and retail flute sales.

The Flute House approaches the expansion of pre-fabricated construction techniques as they relate to the growing digital platform in a design process setting. Structurally insulated panel systems, pre-cast concrete planking and steel structure are intended to provide a more efficient method of construction. Ultimately the entire confab is covered in a monolithic skin of Polyurea.
