A site-specific sculptural artwork set in the Palm Springs desert, MIRAGE embodies ideas of the American West as they have been passed down from early settlers to artist pioneers. Mirage takes a familiar structure and renders it without function, service or texture. Every inch of this ranch-style house, inside and out, is clad in mirror to create a stunning perceptual encounter in the landscape. The exterior will seemingly disappear, while the interior will draw the viewer into a never-ending kaleidoscope of light and reflection.
