Walter Sedovic Architects meticulously restored this jewel following 40 years of exposure to the elements. It exceeds modern code requirements and responds brillantly to the demands of simultaneiously serving both its original Orthodox congregation and The Museum at Eldridge Street, while retaining its patina of time. Culminating an artfully phased mulit-year project including dozens of trades and hurndreds of artisans, Eldridge Street Synagogue was rededicated on its 120th birthday. It has received 13 major awards and ongoing international acclaim.
