West Palm Beach, FL
When developers, Latitude Group, approached architecture firm, Garcia Stromberg, to design a boutique luxury residential building that offers a level of intimate, exclusive residential living not seen before in the area, the firm proposed a model of living that would honor the Art Deco history of the area, while bringing it to modern times and embracing the beachfront surroundings.
Located in the heart of the North Beach area of Fort Lauderdale Beach, the property offers less than two dozen residents an ideal location, within walking distance of the beach, boutique retail and world-class dining.
Each of the exclusive corner residences offers a layout featuring warm sunlit private terraces and expansive views. To bring the outdoors in, Garcia Stromberg opted for 10-foot ceilings and floor-to-ceiling impact glass windows in each unit to provide ocean views to the East and Intracoastal views to the West, while also incorporating parts of the cityscape. From their homes, residents have the pleasure of enjoying the lush environment from their expansive white wrap-around terraces that mimic the feeling of a waterside villa, offering connection to the outdoors, while supplying ample privacy.
“The unique terrace designs for each residence maintains functionality and practicality of construction. This was the main concept that drove the design,” stated design firm Garcia Stromberg. “Though the actual shapes and configurations of the terraces were adjusted throughout the development of the project, the main concept remained in place and is still prominent in the final design.”
With Marcela Lombana designing the interiors, the goal was to showcase beachside living at its finest. Sophisticated residences combine modern design and thoughtful amenities to provide the ultimate tropical living experience. With special consideration of the residences’ unique surroundings, the designer-ready units feature a custom palette of sumptuous textures, modern style, and breezy elegance.
In the kitchen, Italian-milled wood cabinetry beautifully complements the European quartz countertops. The sleek design compliments innovative appliance packages by Subzero and Bosch that seamlessly tie into the built-in kitchen. Additionally, a Smart thermostat, as well as LED lighting are implemented to enhance the space.
Throughout the building, residents have access to elegantly designed amenities conceived to enhance luxury Florida living and act as extension of the residences. In the pool deck, a neutral-colored relaxation deck comes complete with clean white cabanas and lounge chairs that surround the turquoise-tiled pool. The scenery is the focal point amidst the neutral and pared-down environment.
With health and wellness in mind, the gym takes on a simplistic and clean aesthetic with natural light filtering in through the floor-to-ceiling windows. It comes fully equipped with Peloton bikes, state-of-the-art equipment and a lounge for yoga, Pilates and meditation. Other exclusive amenities for a privileged few include two summer kitchens, bike storage and a pet spa.
