The project titled “mag.net” is an architectural/performance installation that explores the interaction between the body and the environment through the effects of magnetism and movement. A spider like web of metal and elastic elements suspended in the space is reconfigured by dancers with magnets embedded in their costumes interacting through choreographed movements. It is the result of a grant award from the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, and is on view at the Space on White gallery (81 white street) through October 11th. There are free performances every Thursday at 7pm.
