Curves of Progress: A Contemporary Rehabilitation in Graça, Lisbon

Integrated in Lisbon's historic Graça neighborhood, an 85m2 house from the 1960s awaited a contemporary metamorphosis. Architecture studio blaanc envisioned a harmonious blend of past and present, employing a bamboo centerpiece that ingeniously housed a bathroom and storage.

The renovation unfolded, reshaping the once-static spaces into a fluid journey. Curved shapes and edges were intentionally crafted, infusing the interior with an organic elegance.

Contemporary design principles dictated the aesthetic, featuring clean lines, minimalistic furnishings, and a neutral palette. Blaanc breathed efficiency into every corner, optimizing space with the bamboo volume cleverly concealing functional elements.

As the final strokes completed this revival, the house stood as a testament to thoughtful design.
