An office for an energy start-up, incorporating tricks into exquisite design to bond the team together to grow fast.

Summary

Last year, enechain, one of the fastest growing start-up companies in Japan, decided to move to a larger office in order to accommodate a rapidly growing team with a better working environment that accelerates the business and communication between different teams, and represents enechain’s culture.
The project started off by listening to the CEO and employees about their ideal working place and style for a new office, and finalized three concepts they wish to have in it. Those three concepts were: 1) Going global, 2) Having passion and love to build energy markets, 3) Embracing diverse values. TRAIL HEADS put all these three concepts into the office designs and systems of the new office.

＜Highlights of their new office＞

Below are some highlights from what TRAIL HEADS realized in the project in both tangible and intangible aspects. In addition to these, there were some elements that are done in the systematic aspects.
●A huge table in the center symbolizes a place where people row in the same direction and showing a strong will to achieve the mission. It is also aimed to enhance communication and discussion between the cross functional team.
●Graduated blue color of the center table, using enechain’s primary color, successfully represented the blue frame, reminiscent of the inner passion they have towards their work. 
●Meeting rooms named after cities with the biggest energy index, and a screen that displays the latest index information so that the company mission is visible to anyone working at the office.
●An area around the micro kitchen was designed to support live communication in person. 
●The new office offers the best systematic environment for online connection as the team is dispatched in Tokyo, Singapore, London and other remote workers around the world. Also, a game room and a space for assembly with big monitors are designed with an intention to connect those people at the office and those working from home smoothly.
