There is a war in Ukraine now. Many people were left homeless. This project is designed to quickly provide Ukrainians with quality housing, which will not need to be dismantled later. The project has a lot of territory for walking, communication and creating new social contacts. This is very important for those who survived the war.

Project «Ukraine - South» based on three main areas:

*Social*

The social basis of the project is the community of the yard. The yard is a place where people communicate, where they help each other, where new small societies emerge. I think that such societies will help people who have lost their past lives and their loved ones to more easily survive the loss and find help and strength for a new life.

The block is already a larger society, which consists of four yards. The block is united by a pedestrian area inside (between the yards). People do not lock themselves in their yards, but go out into the public space and gather in a larger community.

In the park and in the square you can meet people from all blocks, from all over the city. The society of the district and the city gathers here.

*Ecological*

Water from all roofs is collected in the center of the yard. From there through the pipes enters the reservoir, located under the yard. This is technical water. It can be used for watering plants, washing dishes… But if necessary, you can disinfecting this water and than drink. Every inhabitant of the yard has access to this water.

There are tree-lined pedestrian streets in each block. Trees are not only beautiful, they provide shade, protect from heat, excessive noise and wind, clean the air.

All windows have shutters. This is an easy way to protect your home from heat, cold and wind. A terrace in the yard also serves to protect against the heat.

Solar panels and water heaters can be installed on the roof.

*Savings*

The walls in houses can be built of any wall material, even adobe. This will help save materials for the reconstruction of cities, while the buildings will remain high quality and cozy.

In cities where there are destroyed buildings, you can use materials from them in construction. This will save the money and time.
