Loop Food is a combination of a bakery and a cafe celebrating french desserts. Architects approached the brief as an interplay between refined chic and modern minimal by means of composition, language and materials.
The space elevates the experience of a bakery, showcases a feminine, light and warm architecture drawing inspiration from Parisien cafés. Design aims to achieve harmony through sophisticated details, an elegant material palette, and well-thought out joinery and furniture.
Owner's unique approach to hospitality that embodies domestic experience of a familiar home has resulted in a romantic and friendly interior. It is a community focused venue with sweet comfort food at the heart. The space is designed to suit different social occasions. Seating options of different number of people or purpose of visit are created within this welcoming bakery.
Ground floor houses production kitchen, sales counters, dessert displays with few seating to prevent overcrowding of take away customers since Loop Food is a popular local treat. First floor accomodates most of the seated customers within different scenarios. Tables able to host from a person up to eight people with different seating options of chairs, armchairs, bar stools or sofas to enjoy a cup of coffee with an eclair or to study with friends or to work on your own.
Different units are designed to resemble wrought iron gazebos each. Desserts display and sales area, icecream display and sales area, team work table or sofa area has their own cages. These iron gazebos and lighting posts over seating benches creates the dreamy mix of interior and exterior styles while dividing the space into sub-functions.
Green as branding color of the bakery is also inspired from the woods surrounding the building is preferred as the background colour on textured walls, ceiling and microcement floor coverings. Brass details complements greens and elevates the white gazebos. Wood and leather accents are used proportionately to warm up all the cold colors and metals. Marble countertops and tabletops adds a luxurious but familiar texture to the scene.
Open kitchen lets the summoning smell of baked goods into the cafe and out to the street. It also enhances the feeling of a friends’ home kitchen, while the chefs are baking or preparing customers would watch them while shopping and chatting at the same time.
Loop Food is located adjacent to a woodland where locals jog, walk their pets or spend time with their kids. Loop Food garden is facing the entrance of the woodland is an open garden with no solid boundaries allowing the passage.
