The Eastern is a cozy 1490 square foot mid century modern wine bar with 21st century touches. Everything from the tranquil front garden (patio),  lounge seating, bar and high top tables create an approachable and unpretentious wine bar setting without sacrificing beauty. The project was completed in July 2019 by Michelle Bove, and the DesignCase team to create a mid century library with the intention of being a great local wine bar that neighbors could relax in multiple nights a week. The restaurant situated in Washington, DC’s Eastern Market district maintains the neighborhood's atmosphere, while bringing in the “softer side” of the restaurateur's vision. From deep green walls, art displayed around the space, a fun tile selection, glowing orbs of light hanging from the ceiling, curated purchased vases and dry arrangements, everything about the space welcomes you in to sit back and relax.
