Terra Projekt is the name of the new Regional Commercial Focus (RGS), which is in planning since 2021, in the district of Münchingen, north of Müllerheim, Stuttgart, Germany.

Since its beginning, in a series of workshops held in the first half of 2021, the members of the city council discussed considerations for a sustainable and coherent implementation of the RGS as a lighthouse project. In June 2021, the city council approved a first draft of sustainability guidelines according to which this shopping area will be planned and implemented. From there, Frey Architekten has taken it upon itself to explore the availability of land and founded Terra GmbH for this purpose.

The structure of this project will be divided into three types of spaces vertically. At the first three levels will contain the production halls, with different accesses and elevations according to different accesses and elevations depending on their entrance.

Between levels 3/4 and 5/6, there will be the shops, green areas green areas, social and leisure areas, and offices; and on the last 10 levels we will find housing and more and offices; and on the last 10 levels we can find housing and more offices. The “stacked” structure allows us to conserve valuable land in our region by sustainably combining several forms of use in one place.
