Surrounding this home the Joshua Trees are ubiquitous. The desert can be a harsh environment and this rusty steel box evokes that feeling. But in the evenings at sundown, the light softens. What was once a place you’d want to take shelter from becomes an outdoor living room. In this image we aimed to create a sense of an occupiable desert for the home to stretch out and take in.
