Greater Noida has seen the development of several ‘Knowledge Parks’ that constitute various clusters of higher educational institutions that look virtually the same. Therefore, the client’s brief stipulated that the design for KCC Institute of Technology should have a strong visual identity. KCC Institute of Technology uses striking materials such as glass, steel and exposed brick for a textural facade and a unique architectural morphology to set itself apart from its context.
The user-centric site plan interweaves open spaces of varying scales with the built form to create multiple zones for student interaction. Sunken courtyards merge the basement activities with the surrounding landscape, activating an otherwise overlooked area. Further, the campus also provides a well-planned sports infrastructure for a rounded campus experience.
