When Fox International Channels consulted us for the design of their new office space in Maçka Residence, they described their dream working environment as a capacious, dynamic, vivacious and colorful space. A working environment possessing an open office layout has been created within the total area of the 1,450 sqm construction site. Besides the open plan offices, meeting rooms and closed plan offices with a glass structure in dynamical geometrical forms were projected.
After three months of the design process, the construction was completed in two months through which the use of natural material was the determinative element in its design on the grounds of common precision shared both by Fox International and Avcı Architects. The use of natural light was maximized by putting the transparency to the forefront in the division of offices. In this office, which was designed with an aim to make the long hours of work more comfortable, the use of vivid colors and graphics on the walls intend to make the working environment rich and energetic without tiring the employees. Alongside the reflection of the authentic character of the space on its design by retaining the exposed concrete surfaces, the exposed ceiling system has coincided with the dynamism of the space.
When tackling the setup of the office plan, first of all the layout of the departments and common areas were assessed. The initial idea for the design was to allow a creative and free working environment through providing spaces appropriate for recreative and free use, in line with the vibrant structure of Fox International Channels.
For us, it has also been an enjoyable experience to design the office space for a distinguished international media group like Fox International.
