Bozeman, MT
The Lark Hotel, located in downtown Bozeman, Montana, was designed and built in two phases. Phase One is a modern reinterpretation of an abandoned 1960’s motor lodge housing 38 guest rooms. Phase Two is a new four-story building comprised of mass and cross-laminated timber which expanded the hotel by 29 additional rooms.
Phase One program requirements included identifying and repairing the deficiencies inherent to the motor lodge format, creating a connection to community, guest experience, and social responsibility. Phase Two programming needed to celebrate the existing hotel renovation while ensuring the addition created a cohesive property.
