This project is a facade design of a residential building in the centre of Valencia City. The proximity from the old river, which is a green garden nowadays, and the significant trees of the street where the building stands, make us to think about the possibility of a continuous forest. The building skin can be the union between the green elements of the surroundings.
The facade is made by a double skin of glass and perforated copper. The hexagonal perforations are made from a planar picture of a forest which is sent into a computer program; this software creates a different size hexagons mosaic which represents the image of the forest when we look it from far away. The copper shell is divided in sliding panels (340x65cm) which can be moved for adjusting natural light inside the different apartments.
