This is the website of Helsinki-based architecture firm Rudanko+Kankkunen. We are Hilla Rudanko and Anssi Kankkunen, young Finnish architects with an adventurous mindset.

Before starting our company we have studied and worked internationally at different architecture offices and universities. Hilla has collaborated with architectural firms in New York and studied in Zürich, while Anssi has been working for Herzog & de Meuron in Basel. Upon returning to Finland we wished to use our expertise and excitement, so we started our own practice together in 2010.

We are active and quick at work. By now, Hilla’s expertise is concept and building design, urbanism and placemaking; Anssi’s is concept and building design, innovative details and visualization. Our team is good at organizing information, deriving innovations from it and getting seemingly impossible ideas realized.

Our services in short:

• we occasionally design objects and interiors, too
• we design places, urban entities and strategies for them
• we write, photograph and design graphics related to architecture
