Tamara Eaton Design, based in New York City, is a full-service interior design firm with numerous high-end residential and commercial projects throughout the New York tri-state, nationally and internationally. Recently named one of the top interior designers in the country by a leading real estate publication, Tamara Eaton Design continues to be featured in the press, and more importantly, by their clients as an emerging force in the industry.
Tamara Eaton’s interior design education began in childhood. Born in Charlottesville, Virginia and living in several countries before she was a teenager, she became accustomed to seeing new design, be it in city layouts, to building architecture, to interior design. Her design flexibility and knowledge of products sourced throughout the world has deep roots from this experience.
Her time studying art history and urban design at New York University was the beginning of Tamara’s formal quest to make interior design her profession. While in school, she interned at the architectural firm, David Howell Design. Soon after, Tamara was hired as the firm’s principal full-time interior designer, working on premiere residences, commercial spaces, and hotel developments. After five years with this architectural firm, she decided to launch her own firm, Tamara Eaton Design, LLC.
Tamara Eaton Design’s work has been published by The New York Times, WSJ Dwell Magazine ,Connecticut Cottages and Gardens, Huffington Post, Design Bureau, among others. She has also been and on the Discovery Channel program, Construction Intervention, as the interior designer for a Manhattan restaurant that was being redesigned.
