bam! is a group of young italian architects based in Turin who met during a series of academic experiences between Politecnico di Torino, MIT and Rensselaer Politechnic Institute (NY).
During university studies they had the opportunity to enrich their knowledge base, thanks to working and studying exchange programs in other European universities, the US, India and Japan.
They all graduated at the Faculty of Architecture of Politecnico di Torino between 2010 and 2011.
bam! took part at several international competitions, in the 2010 it received a mention for La Metamorfosi, urban redevelopment project in Turin, and it won Venice City Vision Competition in the 2011. Some works have been exposed at the Gosper Gallery in London and at Rotterdam IV International Architecture Exhibition.
Alongside the professional practice they carry forward an intensive research on the topics related to the contemporary city. Many of them collaborate with faculty members and professors at the Faculty of Architecture in Turin.
bam! believes that architectural design can not ignore contemporary society’s demands and face the complexity of the design process with an holistic approach: life experiences, critical and multdisciplinary research, individual suggestions and skills prevail on academic preconceptions.
bam! Alberto Bottero, Valeria Bruni, Simona Della Rocca, Fabio Vignolo
