WEAVA

Founded in 2010, the French design studio settles its activity in Asia from Beijing. With the beginning of the new post-modern age WEAVA is a multi-disciplinary firm that offers service in the fields of architecture, urban planning, landscape and interior design.
 
Driven by the term “to weave,” our aim is to intertwine different aspects of our contemporary environment, creating pieces of architecture through a nonlinear design process.  Weaving various cultures and urban fabrics into a project sparks the potential for new cultural identities.  By crossing boundaries between the present and the future WEAVA explores all possibilities of emergent structures and operational tools.

Each project is a new start, an opportunity to design a fragment, a sequence of urbanity that morphs and transforms the city fabric.  Interactivity, connectivity, variations in scale, and articulation of spaces are rethought as data enabling new interpretations and new ways of interlacing them. In our experience weaving is the best link between these components.

WEAVA gained its experience and professionalism from multiple collaborations. Our technical skills enable us to cross boundaries between different fields of operation, from conceptual diagrams for urban projects to very detailed construction drawings for architectural projects.

WEAVA, as an international and multicultural team, has a wide range of knowledge and diversity in research implementation. With diverse cultural backgrounds our design team has the ability to understand and assimilate various cultural aspects into our work strengthening the project and adding an impalpable dimension that has to do with the human sensibility…it is what we refer to as cultural poetry, when architecture reaches the edge between art and technique.

An optimistic spirit combined with a realistic approach to architecture guides the design process. This attitude towards the profession is a mature and responsible way to analyze and find solutions within various contexts.

Creativity and good sense lead our team to resolve various design problems.  WEAVA focuses its efforts to propose new strategies and greener solutions to build with more efficiency for a better and more sustainable environment.
