We are based on the meaning behind the term “ASSEMBLAGE,” a collection and/or gathering of individuals or things with similar beliefs brought together for a common purpose. We come together … not out of need … but out of a spirit of mutual respect for each other’s talents and a genuine desire to collaborate.

The French refer to “terroir” in wine making, meaning a group of vineyards from the same region, belonging to a specific appellation, and sharing the same type of soil, weather conditions, which contribute to give its specific personality to the wine. Every community should have it’s own character, a spiritual terrior. Design that is grounded in the spiritual terrior is going to have a big impact on it’s community. The work behind assemblageSTUDIO seeks to capture this feeling of place and specific identity.
