LIONarchitecture, started in 2010 by Matt Teismann and Charles Vega, explores and underscores architecture’s existential role with humanity. Be it exploring the great symbiosis between the natural and the built, or merely discussing the validity of a language of architecture which has persisted through time, LIONarchitecture is not a practice necessarily as much as it is a dialogue. They believe there is a disconnect that is currently plaguing our profession - one lacking an understanding and celebration of the human condition. LIONarchitecture is removing the filters which are known as styles; they aim only to make what is just. Their work includes the exhibited projects I am a Pagan and the Urban Green-House Project, and published writings Futureless and Anti-Haptic Experience. More at lionarchitecture. com.
