Coutiño & Ponce Architects, formed by Fabián Coutiño Mendoza (Chiapas, 1979) and Alicia Ponce Pérez (Tabasco, 1978), have been working since 2003. Architects from the Juarez Autonomous University of Tabasco (Mexico 2002) and doctoral candidates in Architectural Design, in the line of research "La forma moderna," in the Department of Architectural Design at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Barcelona, Spain).

In 2008 they obtained the Diploma in Advanced Studies for Research Capacity from the ETSAB-UPC and  had their thesis projects approved with the topics: "The interior space as the starting point of the project in the work of Manuel Rosen 1950-1970" and "The role of housing projects promoted by the state in the development of modern architecture in Mexico”.

Currently they are members of the research group FORM as well as teaching assistants of the Master in Theory and Practice of Architecture, at the School of Architecture of Barcelona at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.
