Philosophy
L&Z develops simple and straightforward products for contemporary working and living.
All products are manufactured in Germany and distributed by selected business partners in Europe as well as the company’s own online shop.

The goal of L&Z is to develop products which are produced efficiently, are sustainable and ergonomic, yet are of high quality and beautiful design. Products that are dedicated to the classical modern principles of functionality and high value, but are contrasted by a hint of irrationality. Practical things, embellished in their final stage of development by a characteristic, emotional note, which strengthens their bond to people. Objects that find mere function, as well as pure decoration unsatisfying.

About the Company
In 2008 the product designer Daniel Lorch began producing sketches and individual Sinus Trestles. Based on his long-standing friendship and collaboration with the communication designer Aidin Zimmermann, the plan was quickly developed to take the table trestle to production maturity, produce a significant quantity, and put it on the market. The company L&Z was founded in 2010 in Berlin for this purpose.
Marketing and communication strategies are developed equally by both partners, while creative direction is for the most part Daniel Lorch‘s area of responsibility and commercial management Aidin Zimmermann‘s.

The goal of L&Z is to integrate further products – also created by external designers - into the product range sequentially, and to establish L&Z as a premium brand in the home and office sectors in the long term.
