Modum Atelier is a design atelier established in 2021, specializing in architecture, interior, exhibition and furniture design, with offices in Nanjing and Chengdu, led by founders Zhou Ruizhe and Yang Junbo. Since its inception, Modum Atelier has won a number of industry awards in the fields of architecture and interior design. The atelier has been selected as one of the most influential architectural and interior design firms in China for the AD100 YOUNG China Emerging Architecture and Interior Design Awards in 2022 and 2024, as well as one of the “Young Architecture Firms in China” by POSITION in 2021 and 2022. Modum Atelier's design projects have been published in many famous domestic and international media, including Elle Deco, Dezeen, Archdaily, Gooood, Designboom, Frame and so on.

-The word “Modum” means balance and aims to merge different things into something new. Modum Atelier explores the modern orientalism of cultural eclecticism and sees tradition as the raw material for a “sustainable cultural experience”, striking a balance between tradition and modernity. 

-Modum Atelier emphasizes site-specificity, creating a rich sense of narrative that fits the environment. Through the customization of structure, form, material and color, unique spatial experiences are constructed.

-Attempts to place an intermediary between the brand and the physical space of each project. Drawing on film, sculpture, or nature scenes as “concepts” to visualize the emotional atmosphere conveyed by the brand. Organize the design language around this concept to maximize the commercial communication power of the space.
