Creative Urban Alchemy LLC (CUA) is an award-winning urban design & planning studio working at the intersection of art, architecture, urban design and planning centering cultural heritage and equity in praxis. CUA offers services in crafting of urban design frameworks, masterplans, public realm plans, placemaking approaches, participatory design methodologies, spatial and equitable planning strategies. CUA has worked in the sectors of arts & culture, housing & community development, climate & environmental justice, health & wellness and community safety. Our work focuses on the ideation and strategy development that is rooted in the engagement process. CUA Founding Principal Ifeoma Ebo is an experienced Urban Designer, Architect, Artist, Regenerative Practitioner and Planning Strategist. In her twenty-year career working across public, private and non-profit sectors she has engaged in projects in architecture, urban revitalization, community / large scale masterplanning, urban policy and neighborhood development. She has received awards and fellowships from the Cornell School of Architecture, Cooper Union, Cornell Council for the Arts, Council for the Arts at MIT, NYC Urban Design Forum, Next City, Architecture for Humanity, Anshen & Allen Architects, The Architectural League, Black Artist’s & Designers Guild, Graham Foundation, Pratt Institute School of Architecture, Columbia GSAPP and United States Artists. As the founding Principal of Creative Urban Alchemy LLC, she is a highly sought-after consultant for city governments, developers and civic institutions on community design, regenerative placemaking and the equitable transformation of urban space. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University and a Master of City Design & Development from MIT.
