Since the studio's inception in 1995 Paul Humphries has spent over twenty-five years producing award-winning contemporary architecture. Today, we are a family-run practice based in the south-west of England. Our work includes a wide range of scales and typologies, from renovations, one-off houses, restaurants, hotels, furniture and household objects.
Our work is not characterised by a style or set of rules. But our buildings aim to be, much like those that inhabit them, singular. In turn, a design is stripped of all its unnecessary parts and becomes something in-and-of-itself.
Every project, in using the fundamentals of design, offers a unique opportunity to speak without words; colour, composition, form, rhythm, structure, scale and light. All In the attempt to create a building which is both original and authentic.
