As of 2019, there were nearly 170,000 licensed Architects in the US. Of those, approximately 500 (0.002%) are black women. Even fewer (just a handful) of those are founder, majority owner and daily manager of their own practice since its existence. Our founder, Shamika Godley belongs to an elite and limited demographic.
