We are attached to history. The history of a place, what it tells. The story of its inhabitants, what they share. The story of a project, what it promises. We believe in balance, so we don’t have predefined solution. Each project has its own story. Every time, it’s a new adventure that starts. So everything is still possible. We like to walk into the unknown. Intuition guides our steps, towards a material, an atmosphere, an architecture.
We take our role as translator to heart. To transform the request into a drawing, the words into images. For this we are not afraid of trial and error. It encourages exchanges. It nourishes the path and enables ownership. We like to take our time. Time to design, so we avoid pitfalls. Time at the construction site so it is better controlled.
The scale doesn’t matter to us. From the object to the building, the place comes first. We pay special attention to it. We propose beyond requests, because everything drives us. Nothing is free, everything is justified. This is the added value of our intervention, of our proposals.
We are aware of the fragility of tomorrow. The path must therefore be respectful. Of the place, of the people, of the environment. For that, we promote reuse. It also contributes to the story, that of material, that of an object. We write a new one. We question ancestral practices. The know-how, the one who builds, that it shares towards a common goal.
We soaked up all these components to "imagine the obvious". From Alvaro Siza, this formula perfectly sums up our ambition. “To build with what is already there. The impression of having always been there.”
