Studio Combine Headquarters is located in a small historic building in North Liberty, just north of Iowa City. It is a cozy spot for meeting, pinning-up, and general camaraderie. However, geographic/cultural/socio-economic diversity is a vital part of our dynamic. The network within which we thrive is broad.

Principal Andrew Ballard has operated nationally through practices based in Iowa, California, and London. He has taught design at Iowa State University, UC Berkeley, and San Jose State University. Originally from the foothills of North Carolina, Andrew received an A.B. in Architecture from Princeton University and a Masters in Architecture from UC Berkeley.
