Matter is a Los Angeles-based female-owned studio committed to intentional architecture and design. We are a boutique practice that designs holistic environments with people and the planet as our muses. Our studio is deeply conscious of what we put into the world, and strives to make sustainable design choices wherever possible. We believe that this thinking creates that most beautiful and tactile environments that are wonderful to experience and healthy to occupy.

This research-driven approach helps us create spaces that nourish the human experience in a unique way. By radically embracing nature, we create biophillic work that blurs the lines between the interior and exterior. We are inspired by the eclectic fabric of California, and draw upon it’s vast natural landscapes and built identities in our work.
