We founded GDP after 30+ years of collective experience working on high-end residential and institutional projects at two of the world’s top firms: Becky at Thomas Phifer and Partners and Pete at Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects.
Our education and apprenticeships have given us the rigor, technical expertise, and abilities to transform inspirational ideas into reality for our clients. Our design philosophy incorporates the relationship of buildings to nature and light, context and authenticity, as well as the personal experiences and values of our clients.
Garnett DePasquale Projects span the rehabilitation of a 17,000 square-foot historic Grosvenor Atterbury house in eastern Long Island to a garage/gallery for the car collection of a rocket scientist in Los Angeles, to the radical renovation of a light-filled ranch house near Sag Harbor.
Our histories with friends, family, mentors, and collaborators—as well as our marriage—inspire the joy, optimism, and dedication that we bring to our work.
Becky’s strengths are detail and precision, embedded in warmth. Pete is a serious enthusiast; he connects the best architectural ideas to people’s practical needs and experiences.
Our relationships with our clients are as important to us as our designs. Together, we have an unending commitment to bring livable beauty and quality to all of our projects.
