It all began in 1980 when Isabella Invernizzi, after graduating in Architecture from the Milan Polytechnic and collaborating with Marco Zanuso, opened IIAW – Isabella Invernizzi Architecture Workshop. The firm, based in Milan, specialized in prestigious renovations and over the years also a significant number of international projects were completed.  

In 2009 Beatrice Bonzanigo graduated from the Academy of Architecture of Mendrisio (CH), joined the firm and contributed to the development of a humanistic design culture inspired by the philosophy pursued by her mentoring architects: Peter Zumthor, Valerio Olgiati, Manuel and Francisco Aires Mateus and Mario Botta.  

IB Studio was opened in 2014. 

From the elegant apartments in the city centre, to the farmhouses in the Tuscan countryside and from the villas on the Riviera to the chalets at the foot of Mont Blanc, IB Studio’s design language is never limited to simple philological recovery, but aims to a functional and aesthetic improvement of the buildings.
