In 2001 Roy Leone founded Leone Design Studio. Sixteen years later, Matter of Architecture PLLC was created to allow the firm’s mission to expand to include an even greater role in the construction of the studio’s design work. From the beginning the studio has been committed to finding unique, creative and beautiful solutions to any design challenge placed before it. Matter of Architecture offers a high level of design service built upon years of experience and collaboration.
Roy Leone, AIA, CPHD, is a graduate of The University of Arizona. He is a licensed architect in New York, NewJersey, Pennsylvania and Arizona and a licensed general contractor in New York City. Having worked in the construction industry for over twenty five years, Roy has extensive experience in both design and construction management. Recently he has become a Certified Passive House Designer (CPHD), allowing the studio to design and build energy efficient buildings that contribute to a more sustainable environment.
Roy Leone is also an adjunct professor of architecture at The New York City College of Technology and a member of the American Institute of Architects.
