Prior to starting Bone Collective Studio, Taryn honed her skills at several award winning architecture and interior design firms including Johnston Marklee, Belzberg Architects, and Wilson Associates.
Taryn earned her Master of Architecture from The Southern California Institute of Architecture, graduating with distinction and receiving the SCI-Arc Service Award. Her Bachelor of Science degree was earned from The University of Missouri where she majored in Architectural Studies and Interior Design.
She was the Research Assistant for The Getty show "A Confederacy of Heretics" She has been a guest critic for architecture studios at Woodbury University, USC, and Cal-Poly Pomona, where she is currently a visiting faculty in second year architecture design studio.
Taryn is originally from Missouri, a small area this is not the Mid-West and not quite the South, but very much the Heartland of America. She is a veteran of the armed forces, having served as a Sergeant in the Army Reserves in both Iraq and Kuwait.
When she's not designing, you will find Taryn training for her next half marathon, practicing yoga and pilates, and cooking a gourmet meal for her family and friends.
