A building architectural design studio was established in 2016 in Hangzhou.
A studio is dedicated to the construction of small and medium-sized buildings and space installations, obscuring the traditional division of design occupations. In recent years, on the basis of a series of rural projects and space installations, they sought to find scattered and even emotional history, context, and natural debris in the current space and time, using the transparency and gap of the “edge” of space to emphasize people’s awareness of borders. The sense of dislocation, reorganizing it into pieces that are not routine but not offensive, creates new connections between users and designers.
It is unthinkable for most design companies that a studio makes only 3-4 projects a year. But an architect who builds a firm believes that a series of small but breakthrough practices is more important than the mass production of large buildings for the studio's insistence.
One Take Architects was found by Li Hao in 2016. One Take Architects is a new design firm engaged in practices of planning, architecture, landscape, and product design. In recent practice in Chinese country, One Take Architects is devoted to discover the the unrevealing Relationship and various possibilities in existing context. In order to create the new perception and experience which are exclusive to each project, One Take Architects designed a series of activating devices, usually small and beautiful, but capable of leveraging something really big.
One Take Architects only has 3-4 projects each year, which is unacceptable to most other design companies. One Take Architects believe that it is more valuable for our concept to do a small but but exploratory house than coping ten large buildings.
