Norfast Engineering PLLC has been operating since September 1996 as a full-service Professional Limited Liability Company engineering firm, providing structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering for the historic buildings of New York City. Norfast specializes in the exterior renovation and historic restoration of landmark buildings. Our projects have ranged from a 13,000 square foot green renovation for the Center for Architecture to the historic restoration of the landmark New York Life Building.
Norfast has a long time commitment to green design and construction methods. We have invested significant time and effort in continued learning in this area. We integrate energy efficient designs, geothermal HVAC, sustainable design, use of recycled materials, and consideration for material process energy into many of our projects.
Every one of our projects takes place in or adjacent to occupied space. Good relationships with both our clients and their neighbors make our projects flow smoothly and keep our clients returning for years to come. We achieve this by determining and reconciling the needs of the project and the community. We have relationships with many consultants that broaden our capabilities.
Norfast has Professional Liability Insurance in the amount of $1 million and Commercial Liability Insurance in the amount of $5 million. Norfast is a certified Woman-Owned Business Enterprise and a professional member of the Landmarks Preservation Conservancy and Association for Preservation Technology Northeast Chapter.
