Who We Are
Magnum Opus Architecture P.C. is a full service Architectural firm located in New York City. Our firm is part of your team and will protect your best interests throughout all aspects of your project and ensure its success. We will educate you on items that you may not be familiar with and guide you through phases that you are. No question will go unanswered as we stay in constant communication with you from the beginning of your project to its successful completion. We will guide you through your project by identifying your goals, meeting your budget, managing your schedule and ultimately executing your project’s success. Our services are tailored to meet your needs whether you are a building owner, board member, property manager or owner’s representative.

Once you chose Magnum Opus Architecture as part of your project team, you partner with a firm that prides themselves on being “hands-on architects”. Many of our staff members are sought out not only because of their professional architectural/engineering experience but also because of their experience in the construction field. Many of our professionals have spent time as carpenters, masons and tradespeople. Our combined expertise benefits our clients by both identifying hurdles that could impede your project’s success and by providing architectural detailing to fulfill your project goals.

How We Do It
Each of our sectors of expertise require unique tasks and approaches to execute a successful project.
For your Restoration Projects, we will perform intensive investigations and meticulous, “tried and true” corrective details that make the most economical sense. All of these tasks are performed while constantly keeping you (“the client”, the property manager” & “the coop/condo board”) up to date with the current and future tasks of the project.
For your projects involving New Spaces, we will team up with you to execute the tasks of identifying your space needs, business flow, company aesthetic, culture, budget and schedule. When this data is collected we will then proceed with executing your project through design & detailing that is conscious of your budget, schedule and project goals.
We are truly the most “hands on” architects you will find. Most of my staff (myself included) have real construction experience as either carpenters, masons and tradespeople. I find it to be a key quality and I seek out when hiring. It allows our firm to be made up of individuals who can prescribe “tried and true” corrective details that make the most economical sense for your Restoration Projects.
Just as a sculptor must master the use of a chisel to sculpt- the Architect must master of the means and methods of construction to orchestrate the creation of a structure.
