VIA Architecture is an architectural and urban planning firm focused on creating sustainable communities where people can live, work, play, move, and create. Our market sectors include transit facilities; multi-family housing; mixed-use developments; senior living; mid- and high-rise buildings; urban design; and community buildings for education, worship, art, and congregation. Our planning work includes integration of land use and transportation; employment-based development and innovation in place; residential and mixed-use communities; creation of rezoning applications and development agreements; and overlays of transit and parking strategies—all contributing directly to the livability of our urban communities.
We have provided architecture, design, planning, and consulting services on public and private projects for 30 years with an emphasis on work that shapes our neighborhoods and regions. The firm was founded in 1984 in Vancouver, BC; started our Seattle, WA practice in 2001; and opened a third office in San Francisco, CA in 2014. VIA’s three offices work collaboratively to provide support to one another in all aspects of our operations, and currently employ more than 50 architecture, design, planning, and support professionals.
