Daniel Gusmão is director and founding partner of DG Arquitetura e Planejamento Ltda. (2006)
Graduate from FAU_UFRJ in 1994, he finished his Master in Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia / USA with Specialization in Technology and Contemporary Architecture and an extension course in Paris / France in 1996. Between 1996 and 2003 he was part of the selected team of architects of Kaplan, McLaughlin Diaz Architects in San Francisco, California / USA.
Daniel Gusmão has fifteen years of experience in development, coordination and consulting for projects in Brazil (São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and Niteroi) and in several countries as United States of America, Mexico, Panama, Japan, South Korea, China, Portugal and Spain.
His Portfolio includes participation in projects ranging from Urban Planning, Commercial, Institutional, Academic, Residential, Entertainment, Hotels, Mixed – use, Health and Industrial facilities.
As a consultant/partner specialized in conceptual, volumetric and façade studies, in the last years he has developed several projects for architecture firms as: KMD (Kaplan, McLaughlin Diaz Architects), San Francisco, California / USA ; KMD- Mexico City/ Mexico; CDC Arquitetos, Rio de Janeiro/Brazil; KOM Arquitetura e Planejamento, São Paulo/Brazil.

DG Arquitetura e Planejamento Ltda. has a full organizational structure with a team of architects working in specific areas of expertise according to the scale and typology of each project.

The office goal is to develop its projects combining pragmatic solutions and suitable costs with an innovative architectural language resultant of multidisciplinary research.
